DTN COMMENTS: All is quiet in cattle feeding country this morning
following a rather active trade yesterday afternoon. Southern live deals
were marked at $248, $7 lower than last week's weighted averages. While
Northern dressed deals were done at mostly $393, $10 lower than the prior
week's weighted averages. So far, no bids or asking prices have been
renewed, and it is possible that business could essentially be completed
for the week. Beef cutouts are expected to be mixed with light to
moderate box movement.
NOTE: Feedlots are encouraged to email DTN with any cattle sales, at
linda.nellson@dtn.com. All sales will be listed anonymously and organized
by state. All live sales are FOB and set for 1-9-day delivery. A weekly
summary from this data will be posted on the Weekly Cattle Sales Reported
to DTN page and will be left up for the entire week for reference
purposes.
